Hello!
We’re Isabel and Eric, the husband and wife team that runs Izzy Lou’s mobile coffee cart! For years, we have talked about wanting to open a coffee shop! Isabel first started working part time as a barista in 2011, which sparked her love for coffee shops and coffee (it’s true, before working at a coffee shop Isabel was only a tea drinker). Over the years, Isabel has worked in numerous coffee shops, but there was one in particular that was unlike any she had worked in. This special little place, located in Angola, Indiana is called Cahoot’s Coffee Cafe. Besides serving phenomenal coffee, this shop was a pillar in the community that supported at risk youth and their families. Everyone was welcomed and supported when they walked through the doors of Cahoots. In 2015, Isabel and Eric graduated from Trine University, leaving the small town they grew to love. Although it was an exciting new chapter, Isabel missed Cahoot’s and everything it stood for and promised to one day build a coffee shop that gave back to the community. Thankfully, Eric loves coffee, building community, and supporting Isabel’s big dreams.
After the birth of our second son, we finally felt ready to take steps in building our coffee shop dream by starting with a mobile coffee cart. We may not have our own physical space (yet) but we are so excited to bring the coffee shop to you! We look forward to serving the Austin community and giving back a portion of all proceeds to a local Austin charity. When we’re not drinking coffee or serving it, you’ll probably find us out running one of the many beautiful trails in Austin.
